Key Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, in delivering direct patient care.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety by aiding in daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
• Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
• Support patient mobility and transfer using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Assist with admission and discharge procedures, including necessary documentation and transportation coordination.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing following established guidelines.
• Aid in medication administration under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during difficult times.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized Healthcare Assistant program or relevant certification is preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset, but not mandatory—candidates without experience are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Physical stamina and capability to safely lift and move patients.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and record keeping.
